A closer look at what working with us actually looks like, and answers to the questions we're asked most often by organisations and individuals.
Redundancy and restructure rarely need just one type of support. Organisations may need a blend of support mechanisms for all those impacted, whether leaving the organisation or not. Every programme is tailored following a detailed briefing with you.
Everything below can be delivered on site, remotely, or a mix of both — shaped around your organisation, your timeline, and your policies.
Confidential support for employees affected by the change, whether they're leaving or staying.
Confidential support and coaching for the leaders driving the process — building the capability and resilience to lead through it sustainably, not just survive it.
Working with the leadership group together, so the approach is aligned and consistent across the organisation.
Practical guidance documents written for your organisation specifically, considering your existing policies and processes.
On-hand support as leaders prepare for and deliver difficult conversations — especially effective in the moment, not just beforehand.
Every session is shaped following a detailed briefing with you beforehand. This is one example of how a team session might run.
Before any session takes place, we hold a detailed briefing with you to understand what's happened, who's involved, and what the team needs. The session itself is built around that briefing, not a fixed script.
Practical guidance for managers and team members on sustaining themselves while supporting others, so the people holding the team together aren't left carrying it alone.
Understanding what a normal response to a difficult event looks like, how it may show up differently across the team, and how to respond to it without judgement.
Clarity on when and how to signpost someone toward further support, whether that's ongoing counselling, occupational health, or another route, so nobody is left unsure where to turn.
Practical, specific guidance on language — the phrases that genuinely help, and the well-meaning ones that can land badly — so the team feels supported rather than managed.
Session length runs from one to three hours depending on what the team needs, and follow-up sessions can be arranged. We encourage this for continuity and progress, particularly after a significant event.
Manager consultations are shorter and more focused than a team session — usually 30–45 minutes, arranged quickly when a manager needs clinical guidance on a specific situation.
A manager brings a specific, live concern — a team member who's struggling, a disclosure they weren't expecting, someone returning to work after a crisis or period of leave.
Natalie helps the manager understand what's likely happening for the person involved, what a reasonable and supportive response looks like, and where the limits of their own role are.
A clear, practical next step the manager can take — including when and how to involve HR, occupational health, or further support, so they're not left guessing or acting alone.
This is a confidential space for the manager themselves — a place to think clearly under pressure, not a formal process. Repeat consultations are common, and many managers use this on an ongoing basis as situations arise.
If your question isn't answered here, get in touch and we'll help directly.
Get in touch through the contact form or by email. Natalie will get back to you to arrange an initial conversation and find a time that works for you — there's no waiting list and no referral needed.
Yes, entirely. What's shared in a counselling session stays between you and Natalie, in line with BACP's ethical guidance, with the usual exceptions required by law where there's a risk of serious harm.
Yes, Natalie is experienced in working with both adults and children. Get in touch to discuss what's needed.
This depends on the format and type of support. Get in touch with a short outline of what you're looking for and we'll come back with clear, straightforward pricing.
This varies from person to person and is something Natalie will discuss with you directly. Some people benefit from a handful of sessions; others prefer ongoing, longer-term support. There's no fixed programme.
Every piece of organisational work begins with a conversation, followed by a detailed briefing so the support can be shaped around your organisation and its circumstances, rather than delivered as a fixed package.
What's shared by an individual in a team or one-to-one session stays with them. Organisations receive general themes and recommendations where useful for planning, never details of what any individual has said.
Most EAPs offer a generalist helpline with a capped number of sessions and a different counsellor each time. Renew & Thrive provides a named specialist, on site, with continuity for the same people over time — particularly valuable through redundancy, restructure, or a critical incident, where a helpline alone often isn't enough.
Yes, and we encourage it. Follow-up sessions support continuity and progress, particularly after a critical incident or during an extended period of change such as redundancy or restructure. Retained arrangements are also available for organisations wanting ongoing access.
Either. Work can be scoped for a single team following a specific event, or as a broader, ongoing partnership across the organisation. This is exactly what the initial briefing is for.
Both. Individual counselling is available in person in Bedfordshire, remotely across the UK, or on site with your organisation. Team and organisational sessions can run in person or online depending on what works best.
In person, we're based in Bedfordshire. Remotely, we work with individuals and organisations across the whole of the UK.
Yes. Natalie is an Advanced Qualified Counsellor and BACP Qualified Clinical Supervisor, working to BACP's ethical framework. Details of accreditation and insurance are available on request.
Get in touch as soon as you can — critical incident response works best when it happens quickly. We'll always be upfront about realistic timing based on availability.
